Mon Coeur

Relax and unwind from the pressures of everyday life when you step over the threshold of this traditional 17th century stone cottage.  Everything is provided for you to simply kick back and recharge, as we believe our holiday cottage should offer you all the comforts of home plus some extra luxuries.

We have chosen to restrict the cottage to a maximum occupancy of two people, so we can provide a really comfortable sofa, rather than a sofa-bed.  And we have installed air conditioning throughout for comfort.

The television is a 40 inch flatscreen and we have uk satellite so that you don't miss any of your favourite programmes.  We have also provided an Apple TV so that if you have your ITunes login you can order whatever new films you fancy.

A Bose IPod dock will ensure that you can enjoy your music throughout the house and on the terrace,  and we have free WIFI internet, just in case you do need to communicate with the outside world.

A fully fitted kitchen with large range cooker, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine are, we believe, essential for our cottages.  But we also know that the local markets have so much beautiful fresh produce that you will want to get creative, so we provide good kitchen knives, and a wide range of baking equipment, and complimentary fresh herbs growing on the terrace.

Maybe a late supper under the warm outside lighting and twinkling deck lights

Followed by a dip in the Hot Tub. Soaking in the tub is an ideal way to relax before retiring to bed.

A luxury bathroom finishes the evening.  Step into the roll-top bath or the separate over-sized shower, and enjoy the selection of Molton Brown products and large fluffy towels. With twin sinks on the hand-made oak vanity unit you both have plenty of room.

To ensure that you have the most comfortable night sleep, the bed is a luxuriant 6 foot wide superking; all our bedding is 100% egyptian cotton, and our duvets and pillows are feather and down, with allergenic options available.

It is the perfect place to gently drift off, under the canopy of the old oak beams, dreaming of nothing more than blue sky and gentle birdsong, the distant drone of tractors and the promise of another lazy day, deep in the Dordogne.
