Great stay at Mon Coeur, very relaxing and quiet. The cottage is beautiful and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need including lots of magazines to flick though - we loved the fluffy robes.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to our family and friends.

After reading reviews and looking at the gite details we had incredibly high expectations. They were surpassed!
We are used to renting properties and finding either the owner or cleaner have stripped anything that was left in the kitchen so that all the basics have to be restocked. Whatever the merits of that practice are, that was not the case here. Wine, fruit, coffee tea, oil etc. were all there in a superbly equipped kitchen area. The bathroom even had Molton Brown toiletries.
The immediate environment was stunning and the range of things to see within a short distance was wide ranging. The area was good for cycling and we particularly liked the canal towpath at Lalinde.
Nick and Gill wee excellent hosts who were not only keen to make sure everything was right but also to ensure our privacy.
We had a great time and will be looking to book next year

We just wanted to say once again what a fabulous holiday we had during our recent stay at Mon Coeur. The standard of accommodation was truly of the highest order and it really did feel 5 star throughout your lovely cottage. The personal touches like the bath robes, Molten Brown toiletries etc helped to make it extra special and luxurious. You have clearly put a great deal of thought and hard work into creating such a wonderful holiday home and we are in no doubt that this will continue as you complete your next building project. Good luck with your venture. We will definitely look to return soon for some more quality chillaxing time with you.

Our stay at Mon Coeur has been a memorable experience, our only regret being that we were only there for one week which was just not long enough. The cottage is filled with every luxury item you could wish for. We asked if there were any boules - not only were they provided promptly but later that day we returned to the cottage to find that Nick had mown the lawn to provide a boulodrome size pitch for us to play on! We really had not expected that. The cottage is in a perfect location and at the time of our visit was surrounded by fields filled with sunflowers, a glorious sight. Twice during our stay we spotted a couple of young deer in the fields outside. Our favourite night time activity was to turn the outside lights off and lie on the loungers to watch the stars.
Thank you both so much and we hope to return in the not too distant future.

We had an amazing week at Mon Coeur which as you know ended in a proposal - the cottage will certainly have a special place in our hearts! We have never stayed in a more well equipped cottage - it was like being in a luxury hotel! Your attention to detail and comfort is outstanding and we are certainly missing it now we are back at home. The little touches such as the suntan lotion, tea supply, Molten Brown toiletries were most welcome. We hired bikes very successfully from Bike Hire Direct (as you suggested) - we can thoroughly recommend them. We did one of the walks around Villereal but needed the written instructions alongside the map to prevent us getting too lost! We also went up to Limeuil for a paddle on the river. It is a really pretty spot and organising a trip in a canoe is very easy. The market at Issigeac was great fun on the first day and was a great opportunity to use my French - make sure you take some shopping bags! We also enjoyed visits to the chateaux of Biron and Monbazillac as well as a trip to the very beautiful village of Monpazier. On the final day we had a walk around the busy streets of Bergerac and a river cruise in a gabarre. We can thoroughly recommend the restaurant 'Etincelles' in Sainte Sabine-Born. We were their only customers so were treated to an excellent meal on the terrace served by our own personal Michelin starred chef!! We are already missing the lovely view out of the windows of the cottage and I have checked your availability calendar for next year so we will definitely be returning! Can't wait to see the future developments and will be regularly checking the blog (now I have finally finished reading it)!

We are very proud of the service we offer to our guests and love to get their feedback. Here are some of the comments from our guests:
Stunning tranquility with 5* luxury
This was our second visit to Mon Couer, our first being September 2014.
The location is stunning & only 20 mins from Bergerac airport, with lots of towns/villages en route for getting supplies & wine to start your holiday off!
The gite, as before, was exceptionally clean & well maintained, with sheet & towel changes during our two week stay provided. Fantastic luxury toiletries are also provided, with the cosiest bathrobes for when you step out of the roll-top bath. The super-king bed is great for us as so few places offer them & we really miss ours when we're away from home, except when we come here.
Gill & Nick are always around & about if needed & the guest booklet in the gite is packed with lots of tips & details of places worth a visit. There are some truly fantastic restaurants nearby which are very reasonably priced considering the quality of the food & wine. If you are a foodie, then this is the ideal place to locate from.
The location is one of the nicest we have visited, there is no traffic noise all you can hear are birds & the odd cow having a moo. Proper peace & quiet time.
It's the only place we have ever visited more than once on holiday!

Exceeded Our Expectations!
The gite is even better than it looks in the photographs, with the rooms being larger than we expected. The owners have given a lot of thought to equipping the cottage for a perfect stay. We particularly appreciated the luxurious touches such as the Molten Brown products, the Nespresso coffee machine and Bose IPod dock. The location is excellent between Beaumont and Issigeac, two beautiful French villages/towns. We would visit again.

Magical Mon Coeur!
Nick and Gill have made Mon Coeur such a special place to stay,they have put so much effort into detail and finish in renovating this beautiful cottage it is pretty much perfect! Both inside and out the cottage is the perfect retreat for relaxation and a great base to explore the beauty of the Dordogne, Our hosts gave us our privacy but we're on hand should we have needed them.we will be returning to Mon Coeur I am sure!

Stylish and comfortable cottage.
We had a lovely week in this beautifully renovated cottage. The owners attention to detail was first class and on hand to offer help if needed. The setting is very quiet, perfect to get away from it all and unwind. We loved the outdoor space with hammock and hot tub. Perfect for relaxing. Would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage.

Peaceful paradise found
Ma Chaleur is a really beautiful property to spend some relaxing down time in.
It's location is very peaceful but within easy reach of interesting places to go. Towns and villages with both shopping centres and local markets are close by. Chateaus to visit and wine to be tasted. Views to be enjoyed and photographed to make your family and friends envious.
However, just being able to relax on the deck under the shade or cooling off in the cedar tub under the trees was equally inviting.
Having stopped in many rentals over the years, this truly lives up to the luxury level that others have missed. Fantastic bathroom with walk in shower and deep slipper bath. Fully fitted kitchen with everything you could need. A huge comfortable bed to relax in at the end of the day. The air conditioning was a great feature in the really hot summer weather and made sleeping at night much easier. Satellite TV, DVD player and a music system are all available.
Nik and Gill are very friendly hosts and always available but are very discrete.
Along with it's sister cottage, Mon Coeur, this has become one of our favourite holiday destinations in France.

"We found it very hard not to treat it as our 'second' home..we did ask Nick if there were squatters rights in France and we nearly used those rights. We did not want to leave, we had a fabulous time, the cottage was very relaxing, comfortable and had everything we had hoped for. We managed to drag ourselves to the gym one rainy afternoon, after a nice long walk in the morning and actually had a good time."
